Sedation Options
Oral sedation is administered in pill form approximately one hour before your appointment, providing mild to moderate relaxation. Nitrous oxide, inhaled through a mask during the procedure, provides light sedation with rapid recovery. Intramuscular sedation is injected and takes effect quickly. Intravenous sedation delivers medication directly into the bloodstream and can be adjusted throughout the procedure from gentle drowsiness to deep relaxation.

After the procedure, you are monitored until you are ready to be released to your companion. Recovery time varies depending on the type of sedation used.
