This wonderful patient came to us displeased with the mismatched crowns she has had over the years and the wear on the lower teeth. The following photos show the protocol we went through to achieve a new smile.
This photo clearly shows the several different colors of the upper teeth and crowns, and the wear on the lower teeth.
This photo shows what was left of the teeth after cleaning underneath the old crowns. (This is why we try to avoid full crowns today!)
We minimally prepare the lower teeth for veneers. Most of this material is temporary material, mimicking our final design.
Here is the minimal (0.3mm) preparation needed for veneers. We use a high powered microscope and precision instruments to ensure precision.
Temporaries are placed using a spot etch technique to ensure good aesthetics during the fabrication process of the final porcelain.
We place veneers under complete isolation to ensure the best possible bond.
The result of precision and good isolation is well integrated veneers with excellent tissue health.
