Cosmetic Dentistry
Thin, hand-crafted porcelain shells bonded to the front of your teeth. Designed digitally. Placed with precision. Built to last.
The Approach
At Capital Dental Design, veneers are not a cosmetic shortcut. Every case begins with digital imaging and a complete facial analysis. We photograph, scan, and design your result before a single tooth is touched. You see the outcome. You approve it. Then we build it.
Dr. Forbes works with world-class ceramists who hand-layer each veneer to match the translucency, texture, and color of natural enamel. The result is porcelain that looks like it grew there.
Veneers should enhance what is already there. They should fit your face, your personality, and the way you move when you talk and laugh. That is what design-driven dentistry delivers.
What Veneers Correct
Porcelain veneers can address chips and cracks, discoloration that whitening cannot fix, gaps between teeth, uneven edges from grinding or wear, misshapen or undersized teeth, and minor misalignment. Instead of multiple procedures, veneers solve several concerns at once with a single, cohesive design.

The Process
Every step is intentional. Nothing is rushed, nothing is improvised, and nothing moves forward without your approval.
Dr. Forbes evaluates your teeth, photographs your smile from every angle, and scans your mouth digitally. This data becomes the foundation for your custom design.
Using your facial proportions, lip movement, and smile dynamics, we create a complete digital preview of your new smile. You see the proposed result before any work begins and approve the design.
We remove a minimal amount of enamel, typically 0.3mm, to create space for the porcelain. This is one of the most conservative preparations in cosmetic dentistry. Sedation is available for complete comfort.
Precision impressions and photographs are sent to our partner ceramist. While your final veneers are being handcrafted, you wear temporaries that reflect the approved design so you can preview the result in real life.
When the veneers arrive, we place them on your teeth for a full preview. You evaluate the shape, shade, and fit. Nothing is bonded until you are completely satisfied.
Each veneer is bonded in pairs under total isolation using rubber dam. This technique produces the strongest, most predictable bond and is a critical step most practices skip. Better isolation means better longevity.
We verify texture, shade, and margin integrity under magnification. The ZUMAX surgical microscope confirms every detail at 25x before you leave the chair.

Why Veneers
Chips, gaps, discoloration, and uneven edges are resolved in a single treatment plan rather than requiring multiple separate procedures over months or years.
Hand-layered porcelain is available in a range of shades and translucencies that replicate natural enamel. Properly crafted veneers are indistinguishable from healthy teeth.
Only 0.3mm of enamel is removed. This is one of the least invasive options in cosmetic dentistry, preserving the strength and structure of your natural teeth.
With proper care and regular dental examinations, porcelain veneers will last a decade or more. The bonding protocol we use is designed to maximize longevity.
Bonded porcelain actually reinforces the tooth structure, reducing the risk of future fractures or wear on the treated teeth.
Glazed porcelain resists staining far better than natural enamel or composite bonding. Your smile stays bright without constant whitening treatments.
